Kindertheater Premiere: “The River That Found Its Voice Again”

Die Heimpremiere des Kindertheaters mit dem Stück „Der Fluss, der seine Stimme wiederfand“ findet am Samstag, den 20. Juni 2026, um 17 Uhr im Gewölbe-Saal, Steinweg 1, Nikolaivorstadt, Görlitz statt.

Seit einem halben Jahr proben unsere jungen Schauspielerinnen und Schauspieler intensiv – jetzt freuen wir uns, Ihnen das Ergebnis ihrer Arbeit präsentieren zu dürfen.

Alle Eltern, Verwandte und Unterstützer sind herzlich willkommen. Einlass ist ab 16:30 Uhr. Im Anschluss an die Premiere findet ein kleiner Empfang statt. Spenden sind willkommen.

Worum geht es in dem Theaterstück in Kürze?

Zwei kleine, mutige Möwen, ein Fuchs, ein Elf und eine sehr weise Fee retten einen Fluss, der krank geworden ist und seine Stimme verloren hat. Warum ist das passiert? Der Riese wollte nur neue Felder anlegen, um Menschen zu ernähren; er hatte keine schlechten Absichten. Aber seine Felder wurden zu groß: Er entwässerte Moore, fällte Wälder, räumte die Ufer des Flusses auf – und der Fluss wurde krank. Er wusste nicht, dass man, auch wenn man einem etwas Gutes tun will, einem anderen Schaden zufügen kann. Die Freunde überzeugen den Riesen, gemeinsam den Fluss zu retten und seine zukünftige Arbeit klug und ohne Schaden für die Natur zu organisieren. Der Fluss singt wieder, und ein Fischpaar kann den Fluss hinaufschwimmen, um seine Kinder zu bekommen. Die ganze Geschichte könnt ihr hier lesen.

The home premiere of the children’s theatre production “The River That Found Its Voice Again” will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the Gewölbe Hall, Steinweg 1, Nikolaivorstadt, Görlitz.

For the past six months, our young performers have been rehearsing intensively, and we are excited to finally present the result of their work.

All parents, relatives, and supporters are warmly welcome. Doors open at 4:30 PM. A small reception will follow the performance. Donations are welcome.

What is a play about in a nutshell?

Two small, brave guls, a fox, an elf, and a very wise fairy are rescuing the river, which got sick and lost its voice. Why is it so? The giant just wanted to plant new crop fields to feed people; he meant no harm. But his fields were too large; he drained peatlands and cut forests, cleaned the riverbanks, and the river became sick. He did not know that even doing good for one, you can bring harm to the other. Friends convince the giant to work together to restore the river and organise his future work wisely and without harm to nature.
